The Kosciuszko Foundation is fortunate to own an
extensive collection of artwork, compiled over the years through
the generosity of its members and friends. The earliest identifiable
materials were books, journals, and prints; a collection of glass
magic lantern slides of Poland exists from this period as well
as scrapbooks detailing Polish academic life from the interwar
period. The status of the collection from this period is of a
purely educational nature with material of many disciplines compiled
to inform the American public about Poland. These materials included
maps, posters, fine art prints, and photographs. Some of these
items were sent directly from Poland and some were gifts from
