Tickets Now On Sale for the Kosciuszko Foundation Ball
Tickets for the Kosciuszko Foundation 73rd Annual Dinner and Ball are now on sale. The date of the Ball is Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel in New York. Tickets may be purchased for $250 per person, and $200 per full time student. To purchase tickets directly through PayPal, click here, or contact the Kosciuszko Foundation Development Department. Debutante Applications Now Available for the 2008 Annual Dinner and Ball
The Kosciuszko Foundation is now accepting applications for debutantes to be presented at its 2008 Annual Dinner and Ball, to be held at the Waldorf=Astoria on April 26, 2008. More info..

Chopin Piano Competition
April 3 - 5
The Kosciuszko Foundation will hold the 59th Annual Chopin Piano Competition, on Thursday through Saturday, April 3 - 5, 2008. Brilliant young pianists from across the country will compete, beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday and Friday at the Foundation House, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, in the Lang Recital Hall of Hunter College. Preliminaries are free and open to the public, but there is a $15 charge for Saturday's finals. Reservations are highly recommended, as the Competition is extremely popular. More info...

"Helena, The Emigrant Queen"

“Helena, The Emigrant Queen,” Kazimierz Braun’s one-woman play about famed Polish actress Helena Modjeska (Modrzejewska) will be performed (in English) by Nina Polan on Thursday, April 10, at 7 PM. Tickets are $20, including a reception after the performance. More info...

Traditional Polish Folk Dancing
For Children 6-12 Years. Led by Members of The Polish American Folk Dance Company

On Saturday, April 12 at 3:00 PM, children aged 6-12 years are invited to put on their dancing shoes, don beautifully ornate Polish folk costumes, and join in the Polonaise, Krakowiak and Polka. The fun-filled workshop by members of the Polish American Folk Dance Company will teach the basics of these and other traditional Polish folk dances. Attendance is limited, so it’s best to phone ahead. Tickets are $15 ($10 for KF members). More info...

Baltic Piano Trio with Henryk Melcer, Alicia Jonas, Panufnik and Faure on the program
Sunday, April 13

The Baltic Piano Trio makes its New York debut on Sunday, April 13 at 3 PM. Their program features the lush late Romantic Trio in G Minor, Op. 37, of Henryk Melcer (1869-1928 ; the bold Trio No. 1 (1934) of Andrzej Panufnik; the Piano Trio of Alicia Jonas, a Polish-born composer currently living and teaching New York; and closes with the Trio in D Minor of Gabriel Faure. Tickets for the concert are $30 ($25 for Foundation members) and include a reception with the artists afterwards. More info...

Beata Drozd to Exhibit Mazowsze paintings
An exhibition of Beata Drozd’s artwork depicting images from the Mazowsze dance ensemble will open to coincide with the Foundation’s 73rd Annual Ball on April 26th.The exhibition will commence with a pre-opening on April 23rd and run through May 18th. A special opening reception will be held at the Kosciuszko Foundation on May 8th. More info...
